Visit the Farm

We welcome you to visit and offer several ways for you to see and enjoy our animals.  We offer Self-Guided Visits, Guided Farm Tours, Picnic With Alpacas, and Alpaca Walks.  Additionally, we host Farm Events several times during the year in order that we might share our farm with you.

Self-Guided Visit

Visitors are welcome to see our alpacas during our Farm Store hours.  You are welcome to stroll around our small farm at your leisure to see our alpacas, our Angora goats, and our chickens.  You may enjoy reading our “fencepost facts” which are facts about the fiber animals that live on our farm, which we have posted on our fenceposts.  There is no fee for these Self-Guided Visits.

Guided Farm Tours

Experience the charm of alpacas and the peacefulness of farm life with a Guided Farm Tour at Alpaca Meadows. Rather than a traditional walking tour, this is a hands-on, close-up experience inside our pastures where you’ll get to know more about the animals and learn about the fiber they provide.

Tours are available Monday through Friday, May through October, and must be scheduled in advance.

What to Expect

Whether you’re a school group, scout troop, church, civic organization, garden club, or just a group of friends or family, we’ll tailor the experience to your group’s age and interests.

Our tours typically last 30 to 45 minutes, depending on group size, curiosity, and conversation. You’ll:

  • Meet our beautiful herd of alpacas, our llama Silver Beauty, Angora goats Mike, Ike, and Lola, plus chickens and our proud rooster Beauregard.

  • Learn about alpacas—where they come from, how we care for them, and how their luxurious fiber becomes yarn and handcrafted products.

  • Step into the pasture for a hands-on experience. Get nose-to-nose with these gentle animals, ask questions, and feel the calm of spending time among them.

  • Discover the fiber journey, from shearing to spinning. We’re happy to provide demonstrations in carding and spinning depending on your group’s interest.

Want to extend your visit? Add a Picnic With Alpacas experience, then browse our on-site Farm Store, filled with alpaca yarns, fiber, gifts, and unique handmade items.

 Additionally

     • We have plenty of room for buses and RVs to park and turn around.
     • Please dress for the weather depending on the season, possible muddy conditions.
     • Our farm has uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible. Public restrooms are not available.
