Summer Market Days

Summer Market Days will be held at Alpaca Meadows in Ontario, Ohio on Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th, 2024 from 11am-4pm. Join us for the 7th annual community event of this kind at our small alpaca farm.  Artisans, craftspeople, bakers, growers, and small businesses will be visiting our farm to sell their wares at our outdoor market.  Enjoy shopping outdoors with the vendors, then pop into our Farm Store for lots of beautiful items made from alpaca.  Meander about visiting with our alpacas, Angora goats, and Angora rabbits, and chickens.  Lunch will be available as well as yummy drinks to sip on while you enjoy our little festival.

Looking for something to do in Richland County? This event is free to the public and enjoyed by all who attend.

Guest Vendors

This year we’ll have vendors selling fresh flowers, potted plants, succulents, weathervanes, garden art, handmade beauty and bath products, embroidered home goods, honey and beeswax items, handmade cosmetic and travel bags, pet portraits, wood crafts, home decor items, birdbaths, planters, charcuterie platters, ponytail patch hats, travel pillows, essential oils, dessert candles, jewelry, homemade dog treats, out-of-the-ordinary baked goods, maple syrup, maple sugar coated nuts, flavored kettle corn, handmade chocolates,  produce, food, frappe’s, specialty coffee drinks, and more!

The Farm Store

The Farm Store will be open both days for your shopping pleasure! If you’ve never visited before, you’re in for a pleasant surprise as you enter our store and see a wide variety of items made from alpaca fiber.  We have everything from Alpaca Socks to Alpaca Sweaters and lots, lots more. Our signs say “Please Touch” and we really do mean it! Alpaca is super soft and you have to feel it to believe it.

Knitters, weavers, and those that crochet will want to take home some of our Alpaca Yarn. It is a real treat for those that enjoy these crafts. We have both Needle and Wet Felting Kits trying these popular crafts at home. If you learn better in a class, we have those too. Grab a Class Schedule or sign up while you’re here!

Food and 4-H

A local 4-H club will be providing yummy food throughout the day so be sure to come hungry. The kids from this same 4-H club will be on hand to answer questions about alpacas, as they fine tune their public speaking skills! Stroll around the farm to visit with our alpacas, Angora goats, Angora rabbits, and chickens. Read our “fencepost facts” and find out more about our fiber animals.
