This festive Santa measures about 6.5" tall in a seated position. He sports a very full beard, mustache, button nose, and rosy cheeks. He has a black belt with gold buckle under his fur trimmed coat, has fur trimmed black mittens and boots. This Santa has been needle felted from an alpaca wool blend roving, around a solid alpaca fiber core. Mohair from our Angora goats, Mike and Ike, was used for his curly white beard and hair.

Needle felting is the process of repeatedly pushing a barbed needle into a tuft of fiber, agitating, compressing, and locking the fiber together into a more dense mass of fiber. In other words, it takes lots of poking! The last images show part of the process.
