Enjoy this needle felted pumpkin face with his big nose, wonky eyes, and happy grin! He has been handmade from alpaca wool, and is mounted to a fence post top with raffia bow tied around it. His stem is decorated with locks of wispy suri fiber, a pipe cleaner vine, and fabric scraps. He is a one-of-a-kind, truly unique piece.

Needle felting is the process of repeatedly pushing a barbed needle into a tuft of fiber, agitating, compressing, and locking the fiber together into a more dense mass of fiber. Needle felted creations such as this take many hours to complete. I think of it as sculpting, only with fiber rather than clay.

The felted pumpkin itself is about 6" (15.24cm) tall. The pumpkin and fence post top combined is about 10 1/2" (26.67cm) tall.
