WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A LLAMA AND AN ALPACA? The biggest difference between a llama and an alpaca is the size, with a llama being about twice the size of an alpaca. Llamas have banana shaped ears while alpacas have more rounded ears. Alpaca fiber is usually softer than llama fiber. They are cousins and along with camels, are part of the camelid family.
WHAT IS NEEDLE FELTING Needle felting is the process of using a single barbed needle to repeatedly jab alpaca/wool fibers causing the fiber to tangle and become compact in order to create a two-dimensional flat piece or three-dimensional sculpture.
