Fall Farm Days

Join us for Fall Farm Days at Alpaca Meadows on Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th, 2024 from 12pm-4pm. Savor a beautiful Fall day in the country, relax, and enjoy the peacefulness of our alpacas, the antics of our Angora goats, and the playfulness of our Angora rabbits. Read our Fencepost Facts and learn about the fiber animals that live on our farm.  Find out about the many steps of fiber production on a small fiber farm scale, from shearing the alpaca to the process involved in making finished alpaca products. Enjoy shopping in our Farm Store and see all the different products in which alpaca fiber is used, perhaps even do some early Christmas shopping!

Fall Farm Days

Been wanting to learn to spin your own yarn?  Or just fascinated in how alpaca fiber gets turned into yarn?  Come see Waunita and Marty demonstrate the ancient art of spinning yarn! Are you a spinner? Bring your wheel along and spin with the girls! Pick up a Drop Spindle Kit to try spinning yarn yourself, or if you’re really serious about spinning, find out about more about the Spinning Wheels we carry. We offer free spinning lessons with the purchase of a spinning wheel from Alpaca Meadows, that is if you live close enough. If you’re interested in processing Alpaca Fiber yourself, take a look at the selection of Drum Carders and Hand Cards and Combs.

Tammy Ann of Tae’s Bakery will be spoiling us with her out-of-the ordinary baked goods for purchase.  Have a treat during your visit and be sure to take home some sweet treats.

Heather and Brian Smith, owners of Smith Acres Produce will be bringing their POPPY’S CORN, small batch flavored kettle corn in all kinds of delicious flavors!

Fall Decor

Heather and Brian will also be bringing pumpkins and mums for your Fall decorating!

You’ll want to be sure to shop in our Farm Store for something  soft and warm made from alpaca … choose from socks, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, blankets, and more!

The Richland County Junior Fair Alpacas Club will be on hand to answer questions about Getting Your Children Involved in 4-H and doing alpacas as a project, even if you don’t own alpacas!

We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Get directions here.

No Dogs Please

We kindly request that no dogs be brought onto the premises. While we share your love for dogs, their presence can cause undue stress to our alpacas.
